Super Eagles Squad to face Ghana in Friendly
Osaze Odemwingie has been recalled to the Nigeria squad, and Columbus Crew midfielder Emmanuel Ekpo has also been named to face Ghana in London next month.
Ekpo is one of two newcomers, along with Warri Wolves goalkeeper Chigozie Agbim, listed by Nigeria coach Samson Siasia on Tuesday.
Odemwingie last played for Nigeria in an African Nations Cup qualifier in March.
The forward has been excluded from the Nigeria set up by Siasia after leaving the team camp without permission.
Both men recently made up after an apology by the West Brom man, earning the striker a recall.
Also included in the team is Fenerbache forward Emmanuel Emenike who was arrested this month in Turkey in connection with a match-fixing investigation. He was released without charge.
However, there was no place for Dinamo Kiev forward Brown Ideye, who will be on standby.
Nigeria will use the friendly against Ghana to prepare for a Cup of Nations qualifier away in Madagascar in early September.
The two time African champions are three points behind group B leaders Guinea in the race for an automatic place in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.
