NPL leading scorer Mustapha Babadidi is bound for modest Dutch club, MTNFootball.com has been informed.
Babadidi has already scored seven goals in his debut season in the Nigeria Premier League and has been called up to the Nigeria U17 team currently training in Abuja.
The agent who transferred one-time NPL hotshot to Venlo, Tony Harris, is again behind the move to take Babadidi’s scoring boots to Europe.
“The young striker has already released his passport to those behind this transfer for his travel papers to be processed,” a top source informed MTNFootball.com
“He is not going for trials, just to do his medical and sign.”
MTNFootball.com has further gathered that the rookie striker could command an initial monthly salary of about 10,000 Euros (more than 2 million Naira).
Venlo already have a strong Nigerian contingent namely Alex Nkume, Michael Uchebo and Uche Nwofor.
