Okocha happy with new role

Nigeria football legend, Austin Jay Jay Okocha has been explaining the reasons behind his shock decision to accept his appointment into the technical committee of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).

Okocha had previously refused to attend meetings of the committee prompting chairman, Chris Green to declare that “his appointment had been rescinded.”Jay Jay however made a dramatic u-turn on Tuesday and attended the latest meeting of the technical committee.
This came just a day after he was elected into the executive committee of the Delta State Sports Commission.
The former Bolton Wanderers’ captain has been promptly installed the technical committee’s scouting chief.
“I am happy with this development.
I have always wanted to contribute my quota to the development of the game in Nigeria and this represents a good opportunity to do that,” Okocha told SuperSport.com.
Okocha played 75 times for Nigeria netting 15 goals.
